Wiper & Washer System (Circuit Diagnosis)

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check the following fuse:

   Unit	Location	No.	Amps
   Rain sensor	Fuse block (J/B)	14	5 A

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Replace the fuse after repairing the applicable circuit.

1. Disconnect rain sensor connector.
2. Check voltage between rain sensor harness connector and ground.

   (+)		(-)	Voltage (Approx.)
   Rain sensor
   Connector	Terminal
   R12	1	Ground	Battery voltage

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

Repair or replace harness.

Check continuity between rain sensor harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4.

NO

Repair or replace harness.

1. Connect rain sensor connector.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Check signal between BCM harness connector and ground with oscilloscope.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace rain sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

GO TO 5.

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect BCM connector and rain sensor connector.
3. Check continuity between BCM harness connector and rain sensor harness connector.

   BCM		Rain sensor		Continuity
   Connector	Terminal	Connector	Terminal
   M19	55	R12	2	Yes

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 6.

NO

Repair or replace harness.

Check continuity between BCM harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Repair or replace harness.
