Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK MOTOR SENSOR (LH) POWER SUPPLY

Turn the ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect power return motor assembly (LH) connector.

Check voltage between power return motor assembly (LH) harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

GO TO 2.

CHECK MOTOR SENSOR (LH) POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Disconnect seatback power return control unit connector B412.

Check continuity between seatback power return control unit harness connector and power return motor assembly (LH) harness connector.

Check continuity between seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace seatback power return control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK MOTOR SENSOR (LH) GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between seatback power return control unit harness connector and power return motor assembly (LH) harness connector.

Check continuity between seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

YES

GO TO 4.

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK MOTOR SENSOR (LH) OUTPUT SIGNAL

Connect seatback power return control unit connector B412.

Check signal between seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground with an oscilloscope.

			When pinching of seatback occurs	The above pulse width should be expanded

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 6.

GO TO 5.

CHECK MOTOR SENSOR (LH) SIGNAL CIRCUIT

Disconnect power return motor assembly (LH) connector and seatback power return control unit connector B412.

Check continuity between power return motor assembly (LH) harness connector and seatback power return control unit harness connector.

Check continuity between seatback power return control unit harness connector and ground.

YES

Replace power return motor assembly (LH). Refer to Exploded View .

Repair or replace harness.

CHECK INTERMITTENT INCIDENT
Refer to Intermittent Incident .
