Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK SOS SWITCH LED SIGNAL 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check the voltage between TCU harness connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2 .

    NO

    Replace TCU. Refer to Removal and Installation .

  2. CHECK SOS SWITCH LED SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect TCU connector M173 and telematics switch connector.
    3. Check the continuity between TCU connector M173 and telematics switch connector R21.

      Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 3 .

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  3. CHECK SOS SWITCH LED SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT 

    Check the continuity between TCU connector M173 and ground.

    No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace telematics switch. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.
