Diagnosis Procedure
- CHECK HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 HEATER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-I
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector.
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 2.
NO
GO TO 4.
- CHECK HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 HEATER OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect ECM harness connector.
- Check the continuity between heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector and ECM harness connector.

- Also check harness for short to power and short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 3.
NO
Repair open circuit, short to ground or short to power in harness or connectors.
- CHECK HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 HEATER
Check heated oxygen sensor 2 heater. Refer to Component Inspection (Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Heater) .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
INSPECTION END.
NO
Replace malfunctioning heated oxygen sensor 2. Refer to EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND THREE WAY CATALYST .
- CHECK HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR 2 HEATER POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT-II
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect IPDM E/R harness connector.
- Check the continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector and heated oxygen sensor 2 harness connector.
