Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK AROUND BOSE SPEAKER AMP. 

    Check whether there is any factor which causes a temperature rise near BOSE speaker amp.

    Was there any factor?

    YES

    GO TO 2 .

    NO

    Remove factor.

  2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE AGAIN 

    SYMBOL CONSULT

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Erase DTC.
    3. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
    4. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.
    5. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "MULTI AV".
    6. Check DTC.

    Is DTC U1231 detected again?

    YES

    Replace BOSE speaker amp. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Inspection End.
