Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK BACK DOOR WARNING CHIME OUTPUT SIGNAL CIRCUIT

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect automatic back door control module and back door warning chime connector.

Check continuity between automatic back door control module harness connector and back door warning chime harness connector.

B56	37	B402	1	Yes

Check continuity between automatic back door control module harness connector and ground.

Automatic back door control module		Ground	Continuity
Connector	Terminal
B56	37		No

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2.

Repair or replace harness.

ERASE DTC
CONSULT
1. Connect automatic back door control module and back door warning chime connector.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "AUTO BACK DOOR".
4. Erase DTC, and then repeat "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE". Refer to DTC Description .
Is DTC "B242F-12" detected?

YES

GO TO 3.

NO

Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .
REPLACE BACK DOOR WARNING CHIME AND ERASE DTC
CONSULT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Replace back door warning chime.
3. Turn ignition switch ON.
4. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "AUTO BACK DOOR".
5. Erase DTC, and then repeat "DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE". Refer to DTC Description .
Is DTC "B242F-12" detected?

YES

Replace automatic back door control module. Refer to Removal and Installation .

NO

Inspection End.
