Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL (PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH) 

    Check voltage between push-button ignition switch connector and ground.

    Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2.

    NO

    GO TO 3.

  2. CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL (IPDM E/R) 

    Check voltage between IPDM E/R connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace IPDM E/R. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.

  3. CHECK PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT (PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH) 
    1. Disconnect push-button ignition switch connector, IPDM E/R connector E119 and BCM connector M18.
    2. Check continuity between BCM connector and push-button ignition switch connector.

    3. Check continuity between BCM connector and ground.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Repair or replace harness or connectors.
