Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK COMPOSITE IMAGE SIGNAL

Turn ignition switch ON.

Check the signal between display control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace display control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

GO TO 2.

CHECK COMPOSITE IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect display control unit harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 3.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK COMPOSITE IMAGE SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4.

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK COMPOSITE IMAGE SIGNAL GROUND CIRCUIT

Check the continuity between display control unit harness connector and AV control unit harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace AV control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
