Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove front wheels and tires using power tool. Refer to Road Wheel .
- Remove brake caliper torque member bolts, leaving brake hose attached, reposition the caliper aside with wire. Refer to Removal and Installation
.CAUTION: Do not depress brake pedal while brake caliper is removed.
- Put alignment marks on disc rotor and wheel hub and bearing assembly, then remove disc rotor.CAUTION:
- Put alignment marks on the wheel hub and bearing assembly and the disc rotor before removing the disc rotor.
- Do not drop the disc rotor.
- Remove speed sensor.
- Disengage the drive shaft from wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Exploded View (LH) and Exploded View (RH) .
- Separate the outer socket from the knuckle. Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove the strut from the knuckle using power tool. Refer to Exploded View .
- Remove transverse link from steering knuckle.
- Remove the steering knuckle and hub.
- Remove transverse link nuts and bolts.
- Remove transverse link from suspension member.
