Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP BULB
Check the applicable lamp bulb to be sure the proper bulb standard is in use and the bulb is not open.

Is the bulb OK?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Replace the bulb. Refer to Bulb Replacement .

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP OUTPUT VOLTAGE

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect the front combination lamp connector, door mirror connector and the rear combination lamp connector.
Turn ignition switch ON.

With turn signal switch operating, check the voltage between the front combination lamp harness connector and ground.

With turn signal switch operating, check the voltage between the door mirror harness connector and ground.

With automatic drive positioner

With turn signal switch operating, check the voltage between the rear combination lamp harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 5 .

GO TO 3.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (OPEN)

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect BCM connector.

Check continuity between the BCM harness connector and the front combination lamp harness connector.

Check continuity between the BCM harness connector and the door mirror harness connector.

Check continuity between the BCM harness connector and the rear combination lamp harness connector.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4 .

Repair the harness or connector.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT (SHORT)

Check continuity between the BCM harness connector M18 or M19 and ground.

Are the inspection results normal?

YES

Replace BCM. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace the harness or connectors.

CHECK TURN SIGNAL LAMP GROUND CIRCUIT

Check continuity between the front combination lamp harness connector and ground.

YES

Replace the malfunctioning lamp.

Repair the harness or connector.
