Diagnosis Procedure

DETERMINE MALFUNCTION TYPE
With CONSULT
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 30 seconds.
3. Turn ignition switch ON and wait at least 30 seconds or more.
4. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "MULTI AV" using CONSULT.
5. Check DTC.
Is DTC B130F detected?

YES

GO TO 2.

YES

GO TO 3.

YES

GO TO 4.

NO

Refer to Intermittent Incident .

CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUITS FOR OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect audio unit connector M50, front door speaker LH connector and front tweeter LH connector.

Check the continuity between audio unit connector M50 and front door speaker LH connector D12.

Check the continuity between audio unit connector M50 and front tweeter LH connector M109.

Check the continuity between audio unit connector M50 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace front door speaker LH or front tweeter LH. Refer to Removal and Installation (front door speaker) or Removal and Installation (front tweeter).

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUITS FOR SHORT

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect audio unit connector M50, front door speaker LH connector and front tweeter LH connector.

Check the continuity between the terminals of audio unit connector M50.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace front door speaker LH or front tweeter LH. Refer to Removal and Installation (front door speaker) or Removal and Installation (front tweeter).

Repair or replace harness or connectors.

CHECK SOUND SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect audio unit connector M50, front door speaker LH connector and front tweeter LH connector.
Turn ignition switch ON.

Check the voltage between audio unit connector M50 and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace front door speaker LH or front tweeter LH. Refer to Removal and Installation (front door speaker) or Removal and Installation (front tweeter).

Repair or replace harness or connectors.
