DTC Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
3. Check the terminals and connectors of the front air control for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2.

NO

Repair the terminal and connector.

CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT

Disconnect the connector of front air control.

Check the resistance between the front air control harness connector terminals.

With manual A/C

Front air control harness connector			Resistance (Ohm)

With auto A/C

Front air control harness connector			Resistance (Ohm)
Connector No.	Terminal No.
M53	21	22	Approx. 54 - 66

Is the measurement value within the specification?

YES

GO TO 3.

Repair the front air control branch line.

CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the front air control. Refer to the following.
- Automatic air conditioner: Diagnosis Procedure
- Manual air conditioner: Diagnosis Procedure
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace the front air control. Refer to the following.
- Automatic air conditioner: Removal and Installation - Front Air Control
- Manual air conditioner: Removal and Installation - Front Air Control
YES

Error was detected in the front air control branch line.

NO

Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
