DTC Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK EACH DOOR MOTOR COMMUNICATION SIGNAL 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check output waveform between front air control harness connector and ground with the oscilloscope.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2.

    NO

    GO TO 3.

  2. CHECK EACH DOOR MOTOR COMMUNICATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR OPEN 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect front air control connector and intake door motor connector.
    3. Check continuity between front air control harness connector and intake door motor harness connector.

      Yes

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    Inspection End.

    NO

    Repair harness or connector.

  3. CHECK EACH DOOR MOTOR COMMUNICATION SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT 
    1. Disconnect front air control connector.
    2. Disconnect following connectors.
      • Air mix door motor
      • Mode door motor
      • Intake door motor
    3. Check continuity between front air control harness connector and ground.

      No

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 4.

    NO

    Repair harness or connector.

  4. CHECK EACH DOOR MOTOR POWER SUPPLY 
    1. Connect front air control connector.
    2. Turn ignition switch ON.
    3. Check voltage between each motor connector and ground.

    GO TO 5.

    NO

    Repair harness or connector.

  5. CHECK EACH DOOR MOTOR GROUND 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Check continuity between each motor connector and ground.

    Replace front air control. Refer to Removal and Installation - Front Air Control .
