Removal and Installation - Steering Lock Unit: Removal

- Disconnect the battery cables and wait at least three minutes. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove the steering column. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Using suitable tool, remove the steering lock unit tamper resistant self-shear type screws (A) and remove the steering lock unit (1) from the steering column.CAUTION: Do not reuse screws. Replace with new tamper resistant self-shear type screws.
- If necessary, remove the NATS antenna amp. (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation .
- If necessary, remove the key cylinder. Refer to Removal and Installation - Key Cylinder .
