Removal and Installation - VK56VD: Removal

  1. Drain the power steering fluid from the power steering reservoir tank.
  2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove the RH front wheel and tire assembly using power tool. Refer to Adjustment .
  4. Remove the RH front fender protector. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Disconnect the power steering suction hose from the power steering pump.
  6. Disconnect the harness connector from the power steering oil pressure sensor.
  7. Remove the eye bolt and disconnect the power steering pressure line from the power steering pump. Plug the lines and discard the copper sealing washers.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse copper sealing washers.
  8. Remove the bolts and the power steering pump from the vehicle.
