Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the wheel and tire assembly using power tool. Refer to Adjustment .
  2. Remove the upper fender protector to access upper link. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove and discard the nut (A); position the brake hose aside.

    CAUTION: Do not reuse nut.
  4. Remove cotter pin (A) and nut (B) from upper link ball joint.

    CAUTION: Do not reuse cotter pin.
  5. Support the knuckle and lower link using a suitable jack.
  6. Separate upper link ball joint stud from steering knuckle using suitable tool.
  7. Remove upper link nuts (A), bolts (B) and the upper link (1).
