Removal and Installation: Removal

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Nissan NV3500 HD, 2019 Nissan NV2500 HD, and 2019 Nissan NV1500. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove front under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove air duct and resonator assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Disconnect crankcase ventilation hose.
  4. Remove electric throttle control actuator as follows:
    1. Partially drain engine coolant. Refer to Changing Engine Coolant .
      WARNING: To avoid the danger of being scalded, do not drain engine coolant when engine is hot.
      CAUTION:
      • Perform when engine is cold.
      • Do not spill engine coolant on drive belt.
    2. Disconnect water hoses from electric throttle control actuator.
    3. Disconnect harness connector.
    4. Loosen bolts in reverse order as shown.

      CAUTION:
      • Handle carefully to avoid any shock to electric throttle control actuator.
      • Do not disassemble.
  5. Remove the PCV hose.
  6. Loosen bolts in reverse order as shown to remove intake manifold collector support.

  7. Disconnect EVAP hoses and harness connector from EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.
  8. Remove EVAP canister purge volume control solenoid valve.
  9. Remove VIAS control solenoid valve (if equipped) and vacuum tank.
    NOTE: Add mating marks as necessary for easier installation.
  10. Loosen nuts and bolts in the order shown and then remove the intake manifold collector.
