Precaution for Assembly and Installation

Use torque wrench to tighten bolts or nuts to specification.
As a general rule tighten nuts and bolts equally in several different steps starting with the center, and then the inside and outside diagonally. If the order of tightening is specified, do exactly as specified.
Replace all gaskets, packing, oil seals and O-rings.
Thoroughly wash, clean, and air-blow each part dry. Carefully check engine oil or engine coolant passages for restrictions or blockages.
Avoid damaging sliding or mating surfaces. Completely remove foreign materials such as cloth lint or dust. Oil sliding surfaces well before assembling.
Bleed air after refilling engine coolant.
Start engine after repairs and check for coolant, fuel, oil, or exhaust leaks. Repair as necessary.
