Driving Condition

Driving condition A

Driving condition A is the driving condition that provides warm-up.

In specific, count-up is performed when all of the following conditions are satisfied.

Engine speed is 400 rpm or more.
After start of the engine, the water temperature increased by 20 deg.C (36 deg.F) or more.
Water temperature was 70 deg.C (158 deg.F) or more.
The ignition switch was changed from ON to OFF.

NOTE:

If the same malfunction is detected regardless of the driving condition, reset the A counter.
When the above is satisfied without detecting the same malfunction after turning off MIL, count up the A counter.
When MIL goes off due to the malfunction and the A counter reaches 40, the DTC is erased.

Driving condition B

Driving condition B is different by each DTC.

In specific, count-up is performed when the following conditions are satisfied.

P0607, P062F, P0740, P0745, P0775, P0795, P0863, P2713, P2722, P2731, P2807	Start the engine and let it idle for least 1 second.
U0100	Start the engine and let it idle for least 2 seconds.
P0705	Turn ignition switch ON. Shift the selector lever through entire positions from "P" to "D". (Hold the selector lever at each position for 1 second.)
P0711	Turn ignition switch OFF and leave the vehicle for 12 hours. Start the engine. NOTE: When starting the engine, A/T fluid temperature is less than 20 deg.C (68 deg.F). Drive the vehicle for the total minutes specified in the Driving time column below with the following conditions satisfied. Selector lever : "D" position Accelerator pedal position : 0.5/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more refer to A/T fluid temperature when engine start and Driving Time Chart A/T fluid temperature rises to 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more.
P0712, P0713, P0730, P0750	Drive the vehicle for 5 seconds or more under the following conditions. Selector lever : "D" position Vehicle speed: 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0717	Drive the vehicle for 5 seconds or more under the following conditions. Selector lever : "D" position Engine speed : 1, 500 rpm or more Idle switch: OFF Vehicle speed : 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more Gear: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th
P0720	Drive the vehicle for 10 seconds or more under the following conditions. Selector lever : "D" position Accelerator pedal: 1.0/8 or more Vehicle speed : 40 km/h (25 MPH) or more
P0729	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 6th Accelerator pedal position : 0.7/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0731	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 1st Accelerator pedal position : 2/8 or more (D1) or 0.7/8 or more (M1) Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0732	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 2nd Accelerator pedal position : 2/8 or more (D2) or 0.7/8 or more (M2) Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0733	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 3rd Accelerator pedal position : 0.7/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0734	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 4th Accelerator pedal position : 0.7/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0735	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 5th Accelerator pedal position : 0.7/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0744	Drive the vehicle for 10 seconds or more under the following conditions. Torque converter lock-up: Applied (For lock-up control, refer to System Description .) Accelerator pedal position : 1.3/8 or more
P076F	Drive the vehicle for 2 seconds or more under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Gear : 7th Accelerator pedal position : 0.7/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0780	Drive the vehicle under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 0 deg.C (32 deg.F) - 90 deg.C (194 deg.F) Selector lever : "D" position Gear : 3rd -> 4th -> 5th -> 6th -> 7th Accelerator pedal position : 0.8/8 or more Vehicle speed : 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more
P0893	Drive the vehicle under the following conditions. A/T fluid temperature: 20 deg.C (68 deg.F) or more Selector lever: "D" or "M" position Gear : 1st through 7th Vehicle speed : D1: 13 km/h (9 MPH) or more D2: 28 km/h (18 MPH) or more D3 to D7, M1 to M7: 10 km/h (7 MPH) or more

NOTE:

If the same malfunction is detected regardless of the driving condition, reset the B counter.
When the above is satisfied without detecting the same malfunction, count up the B counter.
When the B counter reaches 3 without malfunction, MIL goes off.
When the B counter is counted once without detecting the same malfunction after TCM memorizes DTC of the 1st trip, DTC of the 1st trip is erased.
