Removal and Installation: Removal

Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the rear sonar sensor and release the tow hitch harness clips (B) (if equipped).

Remove the tow hitch nuts (A) (if equipped).

Remove the rear bumper center reinforcement (LH/RH) bolts (A) and the rear bumper.

Remove the rear bumper side bracket nuts (A) and the side brackets (1) (LH/RH).

Release the rear sonar sensor harness connector and clip (A) (if equipped).

Release the rear sonar sensor harness clips (A), using a suitable tool (B) and remove the rear sonar sensor harness (1) (if equipped).

Remove the rear sonar sensors (if equipped). Refer to Removal and Installation .
Release the rear bumper step pad clips (A), using a suitable tool (B) and remove the rear bumper step pad (1).

Remove the rear bumper reinforcement nuts (A), using a suitable tool (B) and remove the rear bumper reinforcement (1).

Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the tow hitch connector (1) (if equipped).

Press the tow harness connector tab in, using a suitable tool (B), then rotate the tow harness connector (1) and remove the tow hitch harness connector (1) from the tow hitch (2) (if equipped).

Remove the tow hitch bolts (A) and the tow hitch (1) (if equipped).
