Changing Differential Gear Oil: Filling

  1. Remove the filler plug from the rear final drive assembly.
  2. Fill the rear final drive with new differential gear oil until the oil level (A) reaches the filler plug hole as shown, below.

    Differential gear oil grade and capacity

    : Refer to Fluids and Lubricants .
  3. Install the filler plug with sealant applied on the threads to the rear final drive assembly. Tighten to the specified torque.

    Filler plug torque

    : 32 N.m (3.3 kg-m, 24 lb-ft)
