Removal and Installation: Removal

Always check the air bag diagnosis sensor unit ECU discriminated number (identification number) or part number using CONSULT.
Disconnect the harness connectors for the following SRS components: Removal and Installation (Side curtain air bag module), Front Seat Belt (Front seat belt pretensioner), and Disassembly and Assembly (Front side air bag module).
Remove the center lower IP assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Disconnect the harness connectors from the diagnosis sensor unit.
Remove the diagnosis sensor unit bolts, ground bolt, and then remove diagnosis sensor unit.

CAUTION:

Do not impact the diagnosis sensor unit.

Replace the diagnosis sensor unit if it has been dropped or sustained an impact.
Replace the diagnosis sensor unit of a deployed SRS air bag and a deployed front seat belt pre-tensioner.
