Diagnosis Procedure - Early Production
- CHECK CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal.
- Check the following terminals and connectors for damage, bend and loose connection (unit side and connector side).
- Pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side)
- CAN gateway (For Mexico)
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
For Mexico: GO TO 2.
YES
Except for Mexico: GO TO 3.
NO
Repair the terminal and connector.
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY (OPEN CIRCUIT)
- Disconnect the connector of CAN gateway.
- Check the continuity between the CAN gateway harness connector terminals.

YES
GO TO 3.
NO
Check the harness and repair the root cause (CAN communication circuit 2 side).
- CHECK HARNESS FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
- Connect the connector of CAN gateway. (For Mexico)
- Disconnect the connector of pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side).
- Check the resistance between the pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side) harness connector terminals.

YES
GO TO 4.
NO
Repair the pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side) branch line.
- CHECK POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check the power supply and the ground circuit of the pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side). Refer to Diagnosis Procedure .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace the front seat belt retractor (LH side). Refer to Front Seat Belt .
YES
Error was detected in the pre-crash seat belt control unit (driver side) branch line.
NO
Repair the power supply and the ground circuit.
