Diagnosis Procedure

  1. ADJUST THE PREDICTIVE COURSE LINE CENTER POSITION OF THE STEERING ANGLE SENSOR 

    Adjust the steering angle sensor neutral position on ABS actuator and electrical unit (control unit) side. Refer to Work Procedure (VDC/TCS/ABS TYPE1) or Work Procedure (VDC/TCS/ABS TYPE2).

    NOTE: When DTC U1232 is detected, adjust the predictive course line center position of the steering angle sensor.

    GO TO 2.

  2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE 

    SYMBOL CONSULT

    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Erase DTC.
    3. Select "Self diagnostic result" mode of "AVM".
    4. Check DTC.

    Is DTC U1232 detected?

    YES

    Replace steering angle sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation (VDC/TCS/ABS TYPE1) or Removal and Installation (VDC/TCS/ABS TYPE2).

    NO

    Inspection End.
