Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Drain rear differential gear oil. Refer to Draining .
  2. Remove the rear propeller shaft from the rear final drive and support the rear propeller shaft with suitable wire. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove torsional damper nuts using suitable tool (A) and remove torsional damper (if necessary).

  4. Remove the electric controlled coupling. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Remove wave washer.
  6. Remove front oil seal (1) from final drive assembly, using a suitable tool.

    CAUTION: Do not damage final drive assembly.
