Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Remove the power steering oil pump cover (1).

  3. Remove core support cover. Refer to Exploded View .
  4. Remove front air duct. Refer to AIR CLEANER AND AIR DUCT .
  5. Remove front under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove the cowl top extension. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  7. Remove the high-pressure and low-pressure pipe bolt from the expansion valve.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  8. Remove the high-pressure and low-pressure pipe bolt from the underfloor rear high-pressure and low-pressure A/C pipes.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  9. Remove the high-pressure and low-pressure pipe bolt from the low-pressure flexible hose and high-pressure pipe.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  10. Remove the high-pressure and low-pressure pipe.
