Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Discharge the refrigerant. Refer to Recycle Refrigerant .
  2. Remove front wheel and tire (RH). Refer to Adjustment .
  3. Remove the front fender protector side cover. Refer to Exploded View .
  4. Remove front under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  5. Remove the bolts that retain the oil cooler line brackets to the engine block and reposition the oil cooler line aside. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  6. Remove the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT .
  7. Disconnect the harness connector from the compressor.
  8. Disconnect the low-pressure flexible hose from the compressor.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  9. Disconnect the high-pressure flexible hose from the compressor.
    CAUTION: Cap or wrap the joint of the pipe with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
  10. Remove the compressor bolts, then remove the compressor.
