Removal and Installation: Installation

  1. Finger tighten bolts.

  2. Tighten bolts to specification in sequence show.

    Bolts (1, 2)

    : 55.0 N.m (5.6 kg-m, 41.0 fl-lb)

    Bolts (3, 4)

    : 61.3 N.m (6.3 kg-m, 45.0 fl-lb)

  3. Connect the harness connector to the compressor.
  4. Connect the high-pressure flexible hose to the compressor.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not reuse O-rings.
    • Apply A/C oil to new O-rings for installation.
  5. Connect the low-pressure flexible hose to the compressor.
    CAUTION:
    • Do not reuse O-rings.
    • Apply A/C oil to new O-rings for installation.
  6. Install the drive belt. Refer to DRIVE BELT .
    CAUTION: Check the tension of the drive belt after installing the compressor. Refer to DRIVE BELT .
  7. Install the bolts that retain the oil cooler line brackets to the engine block. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  8. Install the front fender protector (RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
  9. Recharge the refrigerant. Refer to Charge Refrigerant .
    CAUTION: After charging refrigerant, check for leaks. Refer to Leak Test .
