System Description: Description

• Refer to Owner's Manual for hands-free phone system operating instructions.
• Simply operating the steering switch without releasing hands from the steering wheel allows the driver to receive a phone call.
• When a Bluetooth^® communication compliant phone isregistered to the display control unit, hands-free phone communication can be performed. A number of Bluetooth^® communication devices including audio devices and cellular phones can be registered to the display control unit.
• The content of the memory (telephone book) of the cellular phone can be recorded in the display control unit.

When Receiving a Call 

• When display control unit receives the voice of the other party from a cell phone via Bluetooth^® communication, it transmits the TEL voice signal to AV control unit.
• When AV control unit transmits the TEL voice signal, it transmits the sound signal as follows:

For vehicles without Bose audio system, AV control unit transmits the sound signal to each speaker.

For vehicles with Bose audio and Bose Centerpoint audio systems:

• AV control unit transmits the sound signal to the Bose speaker amp.
• Bose speaker amp. transmits the sound signal received from AV control unit to each speaker.

When a Call Is Originated 

• When display control unit receives the microphone signal from microphone, it transmits the sound signal to a cell phone via Bluetooth^® communication. (without telematics system)
• When display control unit receives the microphone signal from microphone via TCU, it transmits the sound signal to a cell phone via Bluetooth^® communication. (with telematics system)
