Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove reservoir cap from reservoir tank.
  2. Remove front wheels and tires using a power tool. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  3. Remove union bolt and then remove brake hose from brake caliper assembly. Discard copper sealing washers.
    CAUTION: Do not reuse copper sealing washers.
  4. Remove upper and lower slide pin bolts.
    NOTE: Note slide pin orientation during removal. The upper slide pin contains a bushing.
  5. Remove brake caliper from the torque member.
  6. Remove brake pads and shims from torque member.
