Removal and Installation: Installation

- Apply medium strength thread locking sealant into the threaded holes for the carrier cover. Install dry carrier cover gasket and carrier cover and tighten the carrier cover bolts to the specification.
- Use Genuine Medium Strength Locking Sealant or equivalent. Refer to Recommended Chemical Products and Sealants .
CAUTION:- If carrier cover gasket is damaged replace it.
- Remove any moisture, oil, or foreign material contacting onto the application and mating surfaces.
- Install the brake tube to the carrier cover.
- Install the rear stabilizer bar bushings and clamps. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Fill the rear final drive assembly with recommended differential gear oil. Refer to Changing Differential Gear Oil .
