Fluid Level

Verify proper power steering fluid level. Whenever possible, check fluid level when cold.

Check power steering fluid level with engine stopped.
Fluid level should be as follows:
- With cold power steering fluid 0° - 30°C (32° - 86°F), level should be between COLD MAX and COLD MIN lines. If fluid is at or below the COLD MIN line, add fluid to COLD MAX line.
- With hot power steering fluid 50° - 80°C (122° - 176°F), level should be between HOT MAX and HOT MIN lines. If fluid is at or below the HOT MIN line, add fluid to HOT MAX line.
  CAUTION:
  - Do not overfill.
  - Do not reuse power steering fluid.
  - Recommended power steering fluid is NISSAN PSF-II or equivalent. Refer to Power Steering Fluid .
