Removal and Installation: Removal

- Remove front under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove engine under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove floor under cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove wheel hubs. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove bolts (A) then remove rear diagonal cross member (1) [(LH/RH)] (Non-XD models).NOTE: RH shown, LH similar.
- Remove bolts and nuts (A) from front cross member (1), then remove front cross member (Non-XD models).CAUTION: Do not reuse nuts.
- Remove front drive shafts (LH/RH). Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Remove front propeller shaft. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Disconnect the breather hose from the front final drive assembly. Refer to Removal and Installation .
- Disconnect the harness connector (A) from the actuator (1).
- Pull lockpin (B) on harness connector (A) out.NOTE: Lock pin is shown in the pulled out position.
- Separate harness connector from the actuator.
- Pull lockpin (B) on harness connector (A) out.
- Support the front final drive assembly using a suitable jack.
- Loosen front lower link bolts (A) enough to remove final drive assembly bolts (B).

- Remove the front final drive assembly bolts, then remove the front final drive assembly.CAUTION: Support the front final drive assembly while removing using a suitable jack.
