Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove compressor. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Hold clutch disc using suitable tool, then remove center bolt.
    1. For VK56VD, use Tool (A) to hold clutch disc, then remove center bolt.

    Tool number

    - (J-44814)
  3. Remove clutch disc and shim(s).
    CAUTION: Retain the shim(s) for installation.
  4. Remove snap ring (A) using suitable tool (B).

  5. Remove the pulley using suitable tool (A).

    CAUTION: To prevent deformation of the pulley groove, the puller claws should be hooked under (not into) the pulley groove.
  6. Disconnect harness connector from magnet coil.
  7. Remove screws using suitable tool (A), then remove magnet coil (B).
