The Low Pressure Turbocharger Boost Pressure sensor is used to measure charge air pressure entering the intake manifold. This information is used by the ECM to control emissions. The Low Pressure Turbocharger Boost Pressure sensor provides a voltage signal to the ECM. This sensor voltage changes, based on the pressure exiting the low pressure turbo.
