Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the front cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Release the spring (D) and remove bolt (C) along with the oil pump slack guide (4).

  3. Remove bolts (B) and remove the oil pump chain tension guide (3).
  4. Hold the oil pump sprocket (1) with a suitable tool and remove bolt (A).
  5. Remove the oil pump sprocket (1) and oil pump chain (2).
  6. Remove the bolts (A) and remove the oil pump (1) from the block stiffening plate.
