Removal and Installation: Installation

Install the oil pressure regulator (1), oil pressure regulator spring (2), and threaded plug (3) into the plunger bore (A).

NOTE: Check the plug (3) to be sure it is fully seated.
Install the front cover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
Connect the battery or batteries. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
Operate the engine and check for leaks.
CAUTION:
To avoid possible engine damage:
- Fill the oil pump with oil.
- Prime the lubricating oil system after engine repair or rebuild service activities.
- Confirm oil pressure within 15 seconds of start up, shut down engine immediately if no oil pressure is produced after 15 seconds.
