Removal and Installation: Installation

Install the oil check valve (A), oil check valve spring (B), and threaded plug (C) into the bore and tighten the plug.

CAUTION: Do not reuse the O-ring (1).
NOTE:
- Lubricate the oil check valve assembly with clean engine oil.
- Do not use any water-based lubricants to lubricate the oil check valve assembly.
: Front
Refill the engine oil. Refer to Changing Engine Oil .
Connect the battery or batteries. Refer to Battery Disconnect .
Operate the engine and check for leaks.
CAUTION:
To avoid possible engine damage:
- Fill the oil pump with oil.
- Prime the lubricating oil system after engine repair or rebuild service activities.
- Confirm oil pressure within 15 seconds of start up, shut down engine immediately if no oil pressure is produced after 15 seconds.
Install the front undercover. Refer to Removal and Installation .
