Piston Protrusion

Install suitable tool (B) on the cylinder block surface to measure the piston protrusion (A).

Install Tool (A) on the front nose of the crankshaft and rotate the crankshaft clockwise and counterclockwise to find the highest measurement.

: Refer to PISTON, PISTON RING AND PISTON PIN .

Tool	:-- - (J-54401)

NOTE:

Piston protrusion can be a positive or negative value.
If the piston protrusion is not within specification, verify the correct parts are installed and the cylinder block combustion deck has been machined properly.
