Crankshaft End Play

Measure the crankshaft end clearance using suitable tool (A).

NOTE:

Measurements can be taken from either the front or rear face of the crankshaft.
The dimensions of the thrust bearing and crankshaft journal determine end clearance.
If the crankshaft end clearance is not within specification, make sure to inspect the crankshaft and thrust bearing surfaces for damage.
If measured value exceeds the specification, replace the thrust bearings and measure again. If it still exceeds the specification, replace crankshaft also.
