When installing a new high-pressure turbocharger, cover opening for turbocharger speed sensor with Tool.
Tool : - (J-54423)
Install turbocharger oil drain line onto the high-pressure turbocharger. Refer to Exploded View.
CAUTION: Do not reuse O-ring or turbocharger oil drain line gasket.

NOTE: Apply clean engine oil to O-ring before installation.
Remove the Tool from the low-pressure turbocharger before installing the high-pressure turbocharger.
Tool : - (J-54423)
Install a new O-ring on the low-pressure turbocharger and lubricate with a suitable water-based lubricant.
CAUTION: Do not reuse O-ring.
Install the high-pressure turbocharger gasket and high-pressure turbocharger and hand-tighten bolts.
CAUTION: Do not reuse high-pressure turbocharger gasket or O-rings.

NOTE: Apply anti-seize to high-pressure turbocharger bolts before installation.
Install and hand-tighten the turbocharger oil supply line.
CAUTION: Do not reuse copper sealing washers.
Install turbocharger oil drain line into cylinder block and tighten to the specified torque.
NOTE: Lubricate the turbocharger oil drain line O-ring with clean engine oil.

Turbocharger oil drain line bolt : 9.8 N.m (1.00 kg-m, 87 in-lb)
Install the turbocharger compressor outlet connection and turbocharger compressor bypass valve (1) onto the high-pressure turbocharger (2).

CAUTION: Do not reuse bolts (A).

NOTE: Before installing turbocharger compressor outlet connection and turbocharger compressor bypass valve, lubricate O-rings on high-pressure turbocharger with a suitable water based lubricant.
Tighten the high-pressure turbocharger bolts to the specified torque.
High-pressure turbocharger bolts : 32 N.m (3.3 kg-m, 24 ft-lb)
Tighten the turbocharger oil supply line to the specified torque.
Tighten the turbocharger oil supply line to the specified torque.

(high-pressure turbocharger side) : 22 N.m (2.2 kg-m, 16 ft-lb), (low-pressure turbocharger side) : 34 N.m (3.5 kg-m, 25 ft-lb)
Tighten the support bracket bolt and turbocharger compressor bypass valve bolts to the specified torque.
Support bracket bolt : 24 N.m (2.4 kg-m, 18 ft-lb), Turbocharger compressor bypass valve bolts : 10 N.m (1.0 kg-m, 89 in-lb)
Installation of the remaining components is in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION: Do not reuse O-rings.

NOTE: Lubricate air handling component O-rings with a suitable water-based lubricant.
