Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Connect CONSULT and check for "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
    3. Are any of the following displayed as current on the CONSULT screen:
      • U029E-00
      • P220B-00
      • P229E-00

    Is applicable DTC detected?

    YES

    Refer to DTC Index .

    NO

    GO TO 2 .

  2. CHECK DTC PRIORITY 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Connect CONSULT and check for "ENGINE" diagnostic trouble codes.
    3. Check for DTC U059F-00 being current on the CONSULT screen.

    Is DTC U059F-00 detected as current?

    YES

    Replace outlet NOx sensor. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Refer to Intermittent Incident .
