DTC Description: Notes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2018 Nissan Titan XD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The EGR valve device driver in the ECM provides power to the EGR valve motor. The EGR valve motor is used to move the EGR valve to the correct position, as commanded by the ECM. The engine control module (ECM) uses the EGR valve position sensor to determine whether or not the valve is meeting the commanded position. The ECM supplies 5V to the EGR valve position signal circuit, and the EGR valve position sensor outputs a voltage signal to the ECM, based on the valve position. The ECM converts this signal into a percentage value, 0 to100, indicating valve position. A fully-opened valve is equivalent to 100%.
