Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove rear propeller shaft. Refer to Removal and Installation .
  2. Use suitable tool (A) to hold companion flange while removing companion flange lock nut with suitable tool (B).

    CAUTION: Do not reuse companion flange lock nut.
  3. Put matching marks (A) on the companion flange (1) an output shaft (2).

    CAUTION: Use paint to make the matching marks. Do not damage the companion flange or output shaft.
  4. Remove companion flange using suitable tool (A).

  5. Remove rear oil seal (1) using suitable tool (A).

    CAUTION: Do not reuse rear oil seal.
