Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
Check the metal deposition, damage, and corrosion of connectors (F213 and E73 and E74).

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
CHECK DTC OF TRANSFER CONTROL UNIT
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "ALL MODE AWD/4WD".
Is any DTC detected?

YES

Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index .

NO

GO TO 3 .
CHECK DTC OF TCM
Perform "Self Diagnostic Results" in "TRANSMISSION".

Is any DTC other than "P279D" detected?

YES

Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index .

NO

INSPECTION END
