Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR 

    Check the metal deposition, damage, and corrosion of connectors (E73 and E74).

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2 .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  2. CHECK TCM INPUT SIGNAL 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect TCM connector.
    3. Turn ignition switch ON.
    4. Check voltage between TCM harness connector terminal and ground.

      Ground

      Battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    INSPECTION END

    NO

    GO TO 3 .

  3. DETECTION MALFUNCTIONING ITEMS 

    Check following items:

    • Harness open circuit or short circuit between TCM and IPDM E/R.
    • Harness open circuit or short circuit between IPDM E/R and ignition switch.
    • 10A fuse (No. 47)
    • IPDM E/R
    • Ignition switch

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    INSPECTION END

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
