Diagnosis Procedure

CHECK CONNECTOR
Check the damage and corrosion of connectors (F216 and E73 and E74).

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 2 .

NO

Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

CHECK TCM INPUT SIGNALS

Start the engine.

Check voltage between TCM harness connector terminal and ground.

E73	65	Ground	ATF temperature: Approx. 20°C (68°F)	2.84 - 3.25 V
			ATF temperature: Approx. 50°C (122°F)	1.53 - 1.84 V
			ATF temperature: Approx. 80°C (176°F)	0.75 - 0.92 V

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

INSPECTION END

GO TO 3 .

CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN TCM AND A/T ASSEMBLY

Turn ignition switch OFF.
Disconnect TCM connector.

Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and ground.

	66

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

GO TO 4 .

Repair or replace malfunctioning part.

CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 AND ANOTHER CIRCUIT

Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

Replace the A/T fluid temperature sensor 2. Refer to Removal and Installation .

Repair or replace malfunctioning part.
