Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK CONNECTOR 

    Check the damage and corrosion of connectors (F214 and F216 and E73 and E74).

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 2 .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  2. CHECK A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect TCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and ground.

      Not existed

      66

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 3 .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  3. CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 AND ANOTHER CIRCUIT 

    Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals.

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 4 .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  4. CHECK A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch ON.
    2. Check voltage between TCM harness connector terminals and ground.

      Other than the battery voltage

    Is the inspection result normal?

    YES

    GO TO 5 .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.

  5. CHECK A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT 
    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect TCM connector.
    3. Check continuity between TCM harness connector terminals and A/T assembly connector terminals.

    Is there continuity exist?

    YES

    Replace the A/T fluid temperature sensor 2. Refer to Removal and Installation .

    NO

    Repair or replace malfunctioning parts.
