Diagnosis Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OF TRANSFER CONTROL UNIT 

    SYMBOL CONSULT

    1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
    2. Select "Self Diagnostic Result" mode of "ALL MODE AWD/4WD".

    Is any DTCs detected?

    YES

    Check DTC detected item. Refer to DTC Index .

    NO

    GO TO 2 .

  2. CHECK 4WD WARNING LAMP SIGNAL 

    SYMBOL CONSULT

    1. Start the engine.
      CAUTION: Stop the vehicle.
    2. Check "4WD FAIL LAMP" in "Data Monitor" mode of "ALL MODE AWD/4WD".

    Does the item on "Data Monitor" indicate "Off"?

    YES

    Check input/output signals of combination meter. Refer Reference Value (TYPE A), Reference Value (TYPE B).

    NO

    Replace transfer control unit. Refer to Removal and Installation .
