Diagnosis Procedure

Power is supplied to the PTC heater with A/C auto amp. control.
- CHECK PTC HEATER RELAY GROUND CIRCUIT
- Turn ignition switch ON.
- Check voltage between A/C auto amp. connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace A/C auto amp. Refer to Removal and Installation .
NO
GO TO 2 .
- CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY
- Turn ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect A/C auto amp. and PTC heater relay connector.
- Check continuity between A/C auto amp. connector and PTC heater relay connector.

YES
GO TO 3 .
NO
Repair or replace harness.
- CHECK PTC HEATER RELAY
Check PTC heater relay. Refer to Component Inspection .
Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check intermittent incident. Refer to Intermittent Incident .
NO
Replace appropriate PTC heater relay.
